Putting Clawson First

As this election season unfolds, it’s clear that Clawson’s City Council race has been divided into two distinct camps. I’ve chosen a clear path — one that keeps the focus where it belongs: Clawson First. My commitment is to our community as a whole, not to any political group or slate.

I firmly believe that transparency and open access to information helps voters make the best choices. That’s why I’m the only candidate who has shared links to a majority of the contenders on my campaign website. A few people have questioned this decision, suggesting it might help “the other side,” but that was never the intent.

The goal was simple — to give residents a fair, single place to find accurate information about everyone running for office. Each candidate’s campaign materials and messages are entirely their own — I’m just helping voters see the full picture so they can decide for themselves who they believe will best serve Clawson. I’m not publicly endorsing anyone — only providing information so every voter can make an informed, independent choice.

It’s unfortunate that my campaign team has received concerns about where my political signs appear alongside other candidates’ signs. Those placements are not coordinated — they reflect the decisions of our residents and voters, who have every right to show support for the mix of candidates they believe will best represent Clawson’s future.

In addition, any other candidate’s campaign material that mentions my name as a candidate is not pre-approved by my campaign.

If other candidates choose to endorse me, that’s their personal choice. I believe those endorsements come from people who recognize that I am a leader who works with everyone on the issues facing our community — not someone who enters office already aligned with one side or the other.

My focus remains on listening to everyone, working together, and putting Clawson First — always.

I appreciate the continued support, thoughtful conversations, and community spirit that make our city so special. Let’s keep moving Clawson forward — together.

Mr Tinlin would you mind giving your opinion on all these apartment buildings that have gone up and continue to go up? Do you feel like Clawson has made enough progress with what they have added already? Or do you feel like they could use more? so they can say they are moving the city forward. Also are you comfortable with the size of buildings that is being put on small lots within insufficient parking?
